THE BEAT BEHIND THE VOICE

Most people enjoy listening to music but they do not take a second to ask themselves, " Who made this beat?" or "Who is behind this awesome sound?". Well, there is a record producer who makes the beat and also a sound engineer who makes sure that the record has the perfect sound. A record producer is an individual whose job is to oversee and manage the recording of an artist's music.




With today's advanced technology, it is easy to build up a bedroom studio and become a bedroom producer. with today's technology advances, it is easy for a producer to achieve high quality tracks with the use of virtual instruments unlike the real ones.

Many producers have established music empires by signing artistes, producing for them and managing them. One big record producer is Andre Romelle Young also known as Dr. Dre. In 1996, Dr. Dre formed his own label called Aftermath Entertainment and later signed Rap Legends like Eminem, 50 cent, The Game and Kendrick Lamar. 

Eric Musyoka is a Kenyan Music Producer and sound engineer who has a record called Decimal Records. He is one of the most influential music producers working in Nairobi right now.  Musyoka has recorded for many big Kenyan artsistes such as Nonini, P-Unit, the dazzling Nikki and the famous JustaBand. He has overseen the production of :
